I use this blog to talk about NMR, small molecules, fragments and general biochemistry, as well as occasional rambling on life as a PhD student.
I am a PhD student at the University of Kent under the supervision of Dr Mark Howard, using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) to study the interactions between proteins and their ligands. As part of my PhD I combine my studies with work for an industrial collaborator, Astex Pharmaceuticals.
Before this, I completed an MSc at the UCL Cancer Institute (2010 - 2011), and previous to that did a BSc in Biochemistry at Imperial College London (2007 - 2010)
